Chantilly On The Green

Urban Design Partners, PLLC worked with Goode Development to provide site design, land development, construction documents and amenity design services for the 4.2 acre Chantilly On The Green residential subdivision. Located at the southern tip of the Chantilly neighborhood, the site was originally home to a bustling business center alongside Independence Blvd, which was abandoned in recent years. The site has been transformed into a modern townhome community and 6 single-family homes. The townhomes are constructed along a narrow central corridor which is designed to promote a pedestrian friendly atmosphere with walkability in mind. Located directly adjacent to Briar Creek, the site will act as a direct connection to the future Briar Creek Greenway extension. UDP and Goode Development worked with Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation Services to create a plan to align the project with the future greenway. The project will transform the community by providing direct public access to the greenway and to the 7 acre Chantilly public park located directly adjacent to the property. The community will have private access to the greenway trail, as well as many on-site amenity areas designed by UDP such as walking paths, community gathering spaces and common open areas.
