The Address Galleria is a unique project for UDP due to careful integration between existing natural habitat, historical features and proposed development. The site provides multifamily housing and extensive amenities to residents while protecting and providing access to the historical Roseland Cemetery, designated as such by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission. The cemetery is preserved in a large undisturbed hardwood canopied area at the rear of the development with accessible access available for residents and visitors. A 60’ heavily landscaped linear park runs along the road frontage and provides a variety of plant sizes and species as well as a meandering sidewalk connection. From the center of this park a connection to the interior greets residents and visitors with a fountain and continued axis to the centralized pool amenity area. The first floor community areas of the main building open up to multiple landscaped and hardscaped seating areas steps above the generously sized pool and pool deck. Pedestrian circulation connects all buildings and amenities, both natural and man-made. Our team provided entitlement of the property, site planning, landscape and amenity design, permitting and construction administration services for this project.
